More bad news for Cummins and Stellantis came this week via the Arizona Attorney General. The lawsuit looks to essentially mirror other lawsuits previously filed against the engine and auto manufacturers, again, based on illegal emissions defeat devices installed in the vehicles. Prior lawsuits resulted in fines being paid by Cummins to the tune of over $1.6 billion dollars, the second largest environmental penalty in history. The Arizona Attorney General estimates that more than 23,600 Ramâs equipped with the 6.7L Cummins exist in the state. Previous fines paid averaged roughly $1750 per vehicle. So, if the average fine stays true in this case, the State of Arizona could potentially be asking for well above $41 million from the manufacturers.
News released earlier this week from Drag Illustrated tells us that Cole Pesz, a long time racer whoâs has countless hours helping on othersâ campaigns as well as his own, has teamed up with Cody Cattle Co Racing to compete in the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings series. The first race will be just outside Spokane, Washington at the newly revamped Qlispe Raceway Park, August 16-17th. Look for the team on the track campaigning their 1967 Mustang bodied ProMod.

While itâs not much, itâs heading in the right direction. For the last 4 weeks in a row the average cost of diesel across the nation has dropped nearly 10 cents. For an over the road driver, this change could save thousands, for the rest of us? Just be happy the price is moving down. Experts state that this drop is due to a decline in oil prices due to a recent drop in demand with supplies that remain at the seasonal average. This drop, as we speculate, could also be due to a rising surplus in Russia. Russia has previously banned exports due to this surplus. Rumors are surfacing stating that this ban will stop soon. Russia simply cannot store the amount of oil theyâre currently producing. Now the embargo on Russian fuel in the US would make many think that wonât affect us, however that would be untrue in todayâs world economy. A massive change anywhere in the world will impact us all, eventually.
