SPE Motorsport has been developing and testing a simple, factory-style bolt-on twin turbo solution for the 2015+ Mustang for years. Our system offers the easiest OEM-like installation on the market, all while delivering over 2,000 HP potential. We've built countless custom turbo systems for customers and dealers, and nearly all of them want one thing: a simple system that installs in hours, not days.
SPE Motorsport developed this kit to be mid-mount with a factory K-member, working on everything from stock cars to record-setting drag cars. The system is fully adjustable from 3 to 50 PSI and supports performance levels from 600 HP to well over 2,000 HP.
Superchargers can’t come close to the potential of our turbo system. Turbo flexibility and drivability simply outperform a blower. As a long-time platform-specific turbo manufacturer, SPE uses our experience to design and manufacture the most adaptable turbos for your goals.
We don’t offer cheap, journal-bearing cast-wheel turbos. Every turbo we offer is built with intent: horsepower, drivability, and reliability. Our customers expect the best, and that’s exactly what we deliver.
Turbo options for S550/S650 Mustangs include:
G6060 Dual Ball Bearing (COMING SOON!)
A square ratio turbo ideal for stick-shift cars and builds that demand instant response. Don’t let the size fool you. This pair can support up to 1,200 HP.
P6266 / P6466 / P6766
The P60 series turbos drive exceptionally well. Their turbines are optimized for 5.0L and 5.2L engines. As the compressor size increases, so does lag, but the trade-off is more power. The 6766 supports a verified 1,800+ HP while maintaining great street manners.

SPE took a unique approach to our turbo manifolds. We didn’t want customers to feel like they were installing a set of long-tube headers, especially on jack stands.
Factory manifolds flow enough for 2,000 HP in a turbo application, so instead of replacing them, we engineered high-flow turbo adapters using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). These adapters transition from the factory header flange to the turbo flange and prioritize both wastegate and turbo flow for optimal boost control and fast spool.
After testing various billet versions, we transitioned to cast stainless steel for final production. That gives the best performance at the best value.
We also offer an optional stainless factory-style replacement header with both 5.0L and 5.2L bolt patterns, though it’s not required. Most other short-tube or factory-style headers are also compatible.
In most mid-mount setups, filtration is an afterthought. We weren’t okay with that.
SPE designed filters that tuck up and away from debris and weather while maintaining the surface area needed for high horsepower. The intercooler is the largest bolt-on unit that fits without modifying the car. It’s built around a vertical 6” core with 3/16” TIG-welded sheet metal end tanks and billet hose ends.
Charge piping connects at the throttle body with our HD clamp adapter. No visible silicone couplers under the hood.
All built in-house in the USA.
Our billet MAF housing perfectly mimics factory size (based on trim/spec), with optimized placement for accurate resolution. That means OE-like drivability in the lower half of the MAF table, making tuning quicker and more consistent. No inconsistent pipes or welded-in bungs. If you're a tuner, you’ll thank us later.
Low-mount turbos require oil scavenging since gravity drain isn’t possible. This is critical to turbo health, and we take it seriously.
We engineered billet low-mount turbo scavenge reservoirs. No bad-flowing square tanks. No welded guesswork. CFD optimization ensures proper oil control, and billet construction allows full O-ring sealing with no gaskets or silicone. These act as both tanks and sumps, keeping hoses submerged and pumps efficient.
We use a brass gear return pump with a lifetime warranty.
For return routing, there’s no drilling or tapping required. We include a billet oil cap with an integrated AN swivel fitting. This returns oil back to the engine and still allows refilling through the cap. No hoses removed. No modifications needed.
Installing the SPE twin turbo system is nearly as simple as swapping a mid-pipe. The hardest part is pulling the bumper to mount the intercooler, which attaches with four factory bolts.
There’s virtually no modification required. Just minor trimming of belly pans or grille shutters if equipped. The result is a clean install that looks like it came turbocharged from Ford. It’s also fully reversible.
The base kit is a tuner-style system and does not include fuel system components or tuning. However, SPE offers complete packages including our Tetrad fuel system, ID injectors, and more.
The benefits go beyond horsepower. This is about sound, fitment, reliability, and drivability. Years ago, superchargers were the only complete option. Not anymore. Turbos eliminate parasitic loss and reclaim wasted energy from your exhaust.
