The kit was easily installed which brought me to order more for my fleet
Blaine C.
I like the ease of install, parts are simple yet quality. Only problem i have is its extremely overpriced for what it actually is/does. I will say the other kits from competitors are equally high and the spe kit is definitely cleaner under the hood.
Jeffrey G.
Very fast shipping and was packed with safety to product. Will keep buying items for my powerstroke. I am very happy with the products I installed on my
Brian H.
Better instructions on how to remove the intake would be nice. Like remove the cold air intake and the fuel filter. The filter on the return line is a very tight squeeze and rides against the engine and fuel lines. May cause chafing issues in time. The return line fitting angle/location is hard to get on and causes the return line to ride against the fire wall. This May cause issues over time.
Philip K.
Very well build and easy to install. Highly recommend.
DOUGLAS P.
kit is simple enough, installing it is a royal pain.
Tim M.
Easy to install if you know You're way under a hood.. It's plug in play Makes it easier to install
James L.
Overall, the fit and finish of this disaster prevention kit is top notch! It came with all the necessary components for an easy install and it even came with some diesel compatible thread sealant which was a nice touch. The install was pretty straight forward, although a little nerve wracking at times. I was pretty scared of getting any debris into the CP4 when I had the little actuator off so I just made sure to clean around the area really thoroughly before hand. One part that was kind of a pita was getting the two allen head bolts that hold the fuel line keepers in place. The one on the exofilter was especially tight btu we got it done. One other thing I noticed was that the 90 degree fitting that you screw down into the distribution block that goes below the actuator on the pump did not want to thread very far in and the directions don't really say anything about that. When it snugged up, I was a good 90 degrees off from where I wanted to be so I have to decide to either leave it pretty lose or crank it over that 90 degrees to get it to face the correct orientation. I was sweating bullets worried I was gonna bust the thing but it held up fine. I've been driving it for about a week now and everything is all good. No leaks or problems whatsoever! I would highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a pretty easy install, clean OE style finish, top quality, and that piece of mind until you can afford a DCR conversion.
Dean S.
Easy to install and fits like an oem part.
Raymond L.
Awesome company had a part failed on my fuel disaster prevention kit by SPE and with no hassle sent them a picture of part and received new part 2 days later no hassle very pleased how they handled the situation will do business with them in the future as I have 2 more 6.7 power strokes waisting to be deleted 2022 and a dually 2024 thanks again
Ravi R.
The kit for the most part is plug and play. the only problem I had/having is tightening up the Allen head bolts for the exofilter and the other connector on the frame rail. such tight spaces that I can't seem to get any clearance, especially for the bolt on the exofilter. I had to hand-tighten it but that is not a good solution for me. I'm still trying to figure out how to get Allen wrench down there.
Brian O.
Another must do, to your 6.7!
Darren H.
Once I removed the intakes, installation was a breeze. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the parts and ease of installation. Ky next project will be permanently removing the upper and lower intakes and replacing them with SPE intake pipes.
Thank you for the piece of mind as my beast is knocking on 300,000 miles.
Kevin M.
Awesome equipment, and about to order the 10mm pump and 366 ball bearing turbo for my 17 SuperBeast
Carlton R.
Everything went together well and as expected.
Tony w.
Great service and great product
Cant wait to purchase more SPE parts
Glenn B.
Easy to install but I think it would save time if there was a parts schematic to tell you which o-ring goes where
David L.
I would have preferred the instructions come in the package. On line instructions is great but failed to address the return side filter. Parts are first class and the shipping time was great. The guy taking the order could have been a little bit more involved in the process, because I am a novice first time buyer. Overall worth it.
You might consider a lever to lock down the return side filter and reroute module, the small set bolts are very difficult to deal with.
Kenneth E.
Good kit, quilty parts. Install wasn't bad. The hose with the 45° was a bit of pain to get lined up. The coolant line to the turbo is extremely close. I tried to install exo filter but there was no way the return line was going to make it to the quick connect. It's says to heat the line to rotate it. Even with that it wouldn't fit. The directions show the line on a 45. Mine is on a 90 so I'm not sure if there is a year or 2 that is different. If I add another 90 coming from the exo it would work. Not the end of the world. Just glad the kit is on and peice of mind knowing the rest of the fuel system is protected.
STEVEN S.
Look like it will do what it says it does. Line did not fit well and filter could be a different design so it could be checked easier. Way over priced!
Josh h.
Straightforward installation, only thing I don’t like is where the fuel canister installs on the fuel line it rubs the return line next to it so you’ll need to massage the line away from it so it doesn’t rub. Other than that it’s a good kit
Nicholas W.
Order this part and was at the house with in a couple days. Install isn't bad at all.
Chad W.
The CP4 disaster prevent was pretty easy to install for someone with no formal mechanic training. Taking off the intake was the most time consuming. Watch a few YouTube videos…. It helps. The kit itself was easy to install and fit perfectly. Follow the instructions after installation. Your truck will run extremely rough for a few minutes until the air is all out of the system. It took me about 5 hours to install this kit along with the CCV reroute kit and inner catch can.
Chris G.
Added the disaster prevention kit and ccv recirculation kit to my 6.7 Powerstroke. Fairly straightforward install for both items. Still have to put in the exo-filter but couldn’t find my heat gun to reposition the fuel line quick connect. Overall very satisfied with the products. Everything seems to be high quality. Thank you SPE! I’ll be back soon for an intake piping kit.
Ty D.
Awesome kit, this is my third one installed, everything fit together perfectly, nice knowing if a failure happens I can save money in the future.

Great product, easy to repair
James P.
Kit was very easy to install. Worst part was getting all the stock intake crap off to get to the fuel pump. I also installed the SPE intake manifold kit at the same time so it made putting everything back together a lot simpler! I can’t imagine how much of a pain in the butt putting the stock manifold back together would be. The instructions were good but it wouldn’t hurt to have a video of putting the kit together and installing it as an option.
Jaceon W.
Feels great having peace of mind! Would have left a 5 star but the provided fittings and hoses didn’t fit as cleanly as I would have hoped for. The hose from the upper fuel filter to the SPE manifold seemed to be short on the vertical and long on the horizontal. (I did check to make sure I didn’t have it backwards which it wouldn’t fit the other way what so ever).
Melton W.
When installing the kit on my 2017 f250 the instructions provided by SEP were difficult for me to understand. Youtube had a video that was easy to follow and I installed the product with no problems. I’ve only had the disaster kit on for a few weeks and I haven’t had any problems with it.
ANNA B.
EXCELLENT PART , CUSTOMERS ARE WELL PLEASED
Chad G.
Very precise fit. Best kit on the market!
Peter L.
Quality parts and quick shipping great customer service and support
Michael L.
I installed the disaster prevention kit as a safeguard to having the hi-pressure gas pump go out on my F-250 6.7 turbo deisel. Now I can travel without worrying about the #1 problem that gets these engines.
Darren L.
Parts worked well and seem to go pretty smooth at
Install .
Gary C.
If it has the potential to save thousands, well worth it. Wish it fit better with the stock CCV, the exofilter sits against it, but I think the Mishimoto catchcan set up will raise the CCV enough to clear it. Later project.
Garren Z.
I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about this product, knowing that it could save me a bunch of money later down the road if my cp4 pump goes out I definitely had to get it
Randy W.
The entire transaction was great from the beginning. Order confirmation, constant tracking and updated and then instalation instructions were sent to me.After years of upgrades to my trucks never have I done bussiness with a company that took care of me right to the end.Super happy and will not hesitate to do bussiness with you again.
Elvis M.
I very much appreciate the way you guys worked with me on getting the right parts even after I had messed up and ordered the wrong one! This is true customer service!
Fred J.
Good product easy to install and clean appearance Very professional product
Jonathan A.
Works great and have peace knowing I have protection!
Brian D.
Excellent quality and easy to install. SPE products are high quality and engineered to last and perform.
Reno Y.
Easy to install. Detailed instructions
And I really like that they have good YouTube videos for installs! Only drove about 40 miles with it installed so far.
Bill O.
It is such a relief to know that if the cp4 decides to eat itself that it can’t spread through the fuel system. It is very well designed kit. Everything fit like it grew there. The hardest part is removing the plastic intake from Ford. The rest is a cakewalk. Thanks to the way you guys engineered the kit. I’d say you guy’s should apply at Ford! They obviously don’t design it to be removed by humans!
Chris
Was great working with the SPE Team. Their products are amazing and the quality is top notch. In addition the packaging was very good to ensure everything came as it was designed.
Ryan W.
It’s nice that it’s utilizes the factory filter, rather than adding one more thing under the hood.

This disaster prevention kit is second to none; absolutely love the machine work and peace of mind this kit offers. I would love to see more detailed instructions, they left something to be desired. The exo-filter instructions should be included with the primary disaster prevention kit instructions. It threw me off for a few mins as to why I had "extra" parts until I went back in to see those parts were the EXO filter kit. This kit does take around 3 hours to install and I highly recommend doing the CAT fuel filers at the same time. Nice work SPE!
Dylan S.
First time installing one of these type of kits. Fairly simple install as long as you are familiar with taking 6.7 intakes off. Instructions were clear and parts seem to be very high quality. Well worth the money spent considering what it costs if the cp4 pump fails!! Most recent quote for a full fuel system was just shy of $17,000 parts and labor! A definite must-buy for any 6.7 powerstroke owner.
Yuri O.
Thank you SPE ! I am so thankful for your bipass system! You guys rock keep the awesome work.
Luke W.
2015 F350 6.7 powerstroke - cp4 disaster prevention kit, took around 3 1/2 hrs for me and a friend to install, keep in mind we are not mechanics but what took the majority of the time was taking parts off the top of the engine to gain access to the valley, where the cp4 is located.
Bill C.
Parts installed just as described in video very clean installation.
Timothy B.
Everything went well except when it came time to hook up the return line. It’s made of nylon and must take care not to bend it or it will kink. I was able to fix the line with some heat, but it would be nice to have a warning or an angled quick connect for the return hose.
Besides that it worked perfectly.
Skyler J.
This kit is amazing. No cutting lines or hose clamps. Installation was easy and the parts are well made!!!
gary a.
simple install procedure an very detailed install instructions on the website. Very good quality parts an possibly a lifesaver to my fuel system someday
NATE H.
BECAME A DEALER FOR SPE A FEW MONTHS BACK AND SO FAR WE LOVE THEIR PRODUCTS AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WE CAN. ALWAYS EASY TO INSTALL AND GREAT WORKMANSHIP.
Carolyn C.
.This was a sweet install. Instructions included with product were thorough. Would purchase another kit from you if needed. Great product.
Jim R.
First of all, I have to state for the record, that I am very impressed and happy with the quality of the parts included in the Disaster prevention kit! Definitely top notch design and manufacturing! But, as others have mentioned in their reviews, nothing quite prepares you for the major headache of removing the factory upper and lower manifolds! Took a week or more for all the cuts on the back of my hands to heal up after being repeatedly sliced by the sharp edge of the cowl. I have a 2018, and as many know, the bolts in the upper manifold are captive in the manifold, so even after finally getting them all loose with a menagerie of sockets, swivels and extensions, the upper manifold was almost impossible to get out from under the cowl. The bolts would constantly hang up on anything and everything, and sometimes just wiggling the manifold around would get one or two of the bolts to start screwing back in. Getting to the sensors/connectors on the passenger side under the cowl is very difficult as well. Once it was finally apart, the installation was pretty simple. I had installed the 90 degree AN fittings about a week earlier, so the sealant was well cured, and had pre-assembled the exofilter as well. As others have mentioned as well, if you have the stock CCV filter in place that becomes another issue. In attempting to remove the CCV hose from the lower manifold it just broke it two, being plastic in a hot environment it's no surprise it was so brittle. The supplied spacer that goes under the factory fuel line bracket at the fuel filter mounting bolt, raises the new inlet "Y" fitting, or manifold if you will, to the point that it is pushing up against the CCV hose right at the CCV filter housing. With the line broken and the "Y" fitting up against it, I had to cut the heat shrink clamp that held the CCV hose to the filter housing, and remove the factory hose end. I was then able to slide a very thin walled piece of electrical conduit sheathing over the hose and the hose nipple on the housing. A couple of clamps on it and it is good for now. Not sure if I really want to remove the CCV filter yet. The other issue I had, actually still have as I have not yet addressed it, is the mounting of the exofilter. Again, the CCV filter is right in the way. The return on my '18 points straight up vertical and the diameter of the exofilter is large enough that it will not allow you to push the filter down on the steel tubing. My fix for this at this point, is going to be to remove the rearmost bolt holding the return line bracket in place and slightly bend the tubing outward just enough to install the filter. There will still be a front bolt holding the return line in place so I don't see an issue there. As far as the angle in relation to the actual return line, some have mentioned that they had difficulties installing the original line on the filter. I don't think that will be an issue in my case though.
Ryan M.
The product looks great. I like all the email follow-ups. It would have been nice if you included a parts list. I had no way to check that all the parts needed were there. Also, the packaging was mediocre. The individual parts were protected but they were all tossed in the box with no additional packing material. Fortunately, all the parts were in good shape.
Andy W.
Great design and product, very happy with the whole project thank you so much really looking good
Troy H.
Easy install once you get everything out of the way. Don’t have to worry about shaving now.
Curtis T.
Great product and easy to install
scott r.
I am in the business professionally and have just installed it on a brand new engine install in my personal truck. Install of kit was pretty easy, will take some time driving to see how well it works. I like the fact that I can check on regular routine basis in order to catch a problem before it gets to bad hopefully.
Luis L.
excellent fit fast shipping very easy to install
Travis J.
Easy to install once the upper and lower manifolds are removed. Be careful with the upper manifold. I broke a coolant hose and purchased the coolant reroute kit. I’m not too comfortable with the exofilter install on the return line, but it works.
Raymond L.
Good product used it before on my power strokes still waiting for my catch can tho !
Chadwick S.
The parts seem to all be manufactured very well. Assembly should have been relatively straight forward except the instructions would say things like "removed parts pictured that are *insert color here* but the pictures were in black and white. Also when I first installed the mprop to the top of the CP4 I had a massive fuel leak as it was tight but not seated all the way. What I found was that it was seating because the machined edge of the mprop was being held slightly up by the machined edge of the CP4. Once I manually agitated it into place I was able to get several more turns on the screws before final torque. After that there has been no issues with any component of the kit and it looks right at home aesthetically. Hopefully when the day comes that the CP4 decides to Kurt Cobain itself this kit saves the rest of the fuel system.
Christopher L.
The kit fits well but does take some patience to install. I had to use YouTube as a supplement to the directions. The directions did not cover the return filter installation. One change to the kit I believe needs to be made and that would a 90 degree fitting for the return fuel out of the filter block since the stock return fuel is oriented vertical.
I would like to see a finished install picture minus the upper intake included in the directions. Also a video on YouTube actually installing the kit or a link via QR code would be great too. Overall very nice kit and would like to discuss it with SPE if they want any further information. Chris L.
Pete C.
It will help avoid disastrous repairs. Thank you.
Mellor I.
I definitely recommend this kit but if you’re not mechanically inclined, this install isn’t for you. I was able to get mine installed successfully with the help of the instructions provided by SPE but what the instructions don’t tell you is how hard some of the bolts are to get to. Especially with a stock intake manifold. On that note, if you have a stock intake manifold , I highly recommend purchasing one from SPE in addition to the disaster prevention kit. Overall, it’s a great product that’ll give you peace of mind and save you thousand of dollars in the event your CP4 takes a dump.
Christopher H.
So far everything works great and looks great and extremely easy to install. I will continue to buy my parts from yall.
Ben W.
2018 F250. I ordered the kit the shipping was fast. As I installed the kit I that everything fit well. Only issue I had was the fuel manifold fit exactly under the CCV hose that goes to the intake. I was unable to tweak the fuel line to get the clearance needed. I purchased the CCV reroute kit and was able to tweak the fuel line. Other than that it seems to be perfect. Looking forward to purchasing more products.
Devin M.
Love the kit! It's built better than you would expect for the price tag especially when you compare it too the competition. Hands down the best design, quality, and execution. As a automotive technician my self I wanted the smart choice for my own work truck and I believe I found it!
Patrick M.
Great install, great instructions. Parts are a very high quality. Took about 2.5 hours to install this and the CCV delete kits.
Christopher E.
Quality parts that work great at a good price.
andrew b.
Purchased based off my mechanic’s recommendation as my 6.7 was climbing in age/mileage. Looking forward to replacing with the new fuel pump to completely protect the engine.
William W.
The kit was easy to install plus a detailed YouTube installation available as well as online accessibility to instructions. It’s freshly installed including the exofilter so time will tell.
Steve B.
This beats Ford's idea of a disaster kit hands down! And way cheaper way to go if your cp4 would fail! Not to mention looks badass with the other SPE products I've purchased to go with this!
Alex P.
Kit went in real easy and it even came with a new rubber for the stock part you re-use in case if it’s bad from pulling it out.
jaymen b.
Had a fuel leak on the distribution block, wrong size o rings, was sent new o rings no issue, hopefully never will now.
Brett P.
Finished installing the kit lastnight on my 2011 f250. I am not a mechanic but am very mechanically inclined, kit took me 8 hrs to install with a full toolbox of my snapon tools. Needing lots of 1/4 drive extentions and swivels and a magnet to get dropped bolts and wrenches. Had a issue threading the 90 degree fittings into the fuel block and also the metering valve took me 30 mins each because they only threaded in a 1 turn and a half. I knew they were going to leak like that with just vibra-tite on the threads. So i worked the fittings in back and fourth with a wrench until i got the desired angle and about 3+ full turns into the block. Being very carefull to not crack the aluminum block in the process. Cleaned it out throughly after with brake cleaner to remove metal debris. Video Instructions show guy using what looks like teflon tape but the printed instructions show to use supplied vibra-tite. Looked up the cure time of vibratite and it says 24 hrs although i didnt not wait more than 2 hrs to prime the system. No leaks sofar. I am very happy with the kit overall. Found a mouse nest under my turbo and cp4 so im glad i did the work myslelf, plus other misc. bolts that previous mechanics forgot to tighten. Between installing this kit and installing cab mounts, i feel like i can quit being an ironworker and become a mechanic full time. Lol
Jeffery F.
Great fit everything plugged right in
Joseph K.
I had the kit installed by my diesel shop here in Shreveport Louisiana.
While installing the 90 degree NPT fittings in the pump block adapter the threads in the block had a line of uncut material which would only allow the fitting to thread into the block 1-2 threads deep. It was apparent as it was a straight line down the threads that it was possibly a casting issue during the manufacture of this part.
Upon identification of this defect he cleaned the threads out with a tap and chase to allow the 90 degree NPT fitting to thread into it properly. (I understand that NPT fittings don’t thread into the block completely but this was not being stopped by the fitting but rather the material left in the threads).
He did not provide a picture but he is a well qualified diesel mechanic that followed the directions for the kit and explained the problem to me in detail.
Other than that problem he/I liked your kit very much and plans on recommending it to all his 6.7 customers.
I’m not sure if the shop will be charging me additional for the time it took him to sort it out and remedy the issue but I definitely wanted to let you know you may have an issue with how the threading is being done on the adapter plate to the CP4.
I brought this issue to tech support and it seemed to be brushed off as I/we didn’t understand that an NPT fitting doesn’t thread in completely to the other part normally, but what we were trying to convey was the problem stated above.
I like the kit and think it was well thought out and packaged well. It installed much easier than any other kit my mechanic had used prior and as I said he plans on recommending them to future 6.7 clients that are looking for a solution to the “CP4 problem”.
Thank you,
Joe
Cole L.
The product is good quality and the installation went fairly smooth, I have only one issue with this product, and that's is that the threaded ports that the NPT to JIC 90° elbows thread into required a thread tap to remove the anodizing from the threads so that the fittings could be threaded in more than 2-3 turns.
Otherwise, everything went together well, and there were no fuel leaks.
One other thing to note is that the fuel line spacer for my truck was to tall and when it was installed it caused the high pressure steel line to be under to much stress, so I just used 2 small washers and that provided enough clearance for the high pressure adapter and the return line.
Michael B.
I wish I could say it was easy but it was a little difficult for an average guy like myself. I got it finished after around 6 hrs. All the parts fit as suspected great look and fit.
Troy F.
Fits as designed. Offers a huge piece of mind on the failure that Ford should find a replacement for.
Great quality.
William B.
Direct bolt on application. Be mindful of the heater core hose when removing and reinstalling the lower intake. Plastic fittings are less forgiving as they age.
Charles W.
Well made quality product. Absolutely easy install.
Manley b.
Overall installers pretty simple. I was not able to twist the return line to install it on the mini keg filter without damaging the stock return line. I ended up having to shorten and repair the return line so I could get it to face the correct way.
Troy F.
While I would probably love the product had I received all the parts.
The material seems very solid.
Adam B.
Fit and finish is spot on! Surprisingly excellent quality of materials. Hopefully I’ll never notice it’s there.
Trent B.
Great fitment great products
Daniel H.
Disaster prevention kit very well made all the parts are solid and very well designed. Easy to install and a great upgrade to help you keep you truck running. If you dont have one i suggest you go get one. Great job SPE.
Tim M.
I think it is a great kit and should save everyone who uses it a lot of money when the pump comes apart. The kit went on pretty easily. I wish the new plastic fuel line from the fuel filter was slightly longer. In had a hard time getting this line on. I used assembly lube before I tried the first time. I ended up cutting the O ring and had a leak. I was able to take the O ring from the OE line and make bit work. I also wish the return line didn't have to be turned 90 degrees. I was worried about the line breaking. Thanks for building a great product.
Alexander C.
Good parts and great instructions. Most of all, good engineering, and this is coming from an aerospace engineer.
austin d.
Other than missing pieces (which they offered to fix) it was an easy install. It looks super clean and no leaks at all!
Brandon W.
I feel better knowing my whole fuel system can't be ruined from the pump
