Eeking 1,350-RWHP Out Of A 72mm T-4 Turbo On Fuel

The thrash for 72 Fast is on and Greg A. is pulling out all the stops with his racehorse. After trekking down to Florida, the WrenchWorkz captain had Redemption’s CM849 ECU fine-tuned on the Hardway Performance chassis dyno. The result? An impressive 1,356-rwhp and 2,337 lb-ft on fuel. We don’t know what Greg A.’s race weight will be, but if it checks in at the class minimum (6,000 pounds) and he can cut a quick 60-foot, expect this Ram to crack 5’s through the 1/8-mile. Days before Greg A. landed in the Sunshine State, his bullet was on the engine dyno up in Indiana. You can read up on the numbers he made there at the link below.

Japanese Competition for the Raptor?

Ford’s Raptor family may have some new heat coming from Japan. Nissan’s NISMO division is reportedly studying high-performance off-road models aimed at markets where go-fast dirt toys actually matter — the U.S., Middle East, and Australia. Potential platforms could include the Frontier/Navara, Terrano, or Patrol, which means Ford’s F-150 Raptor, Ranger Raptor, and Bronco Raptor may eventually get a fresh rival from a brand with real motorsports DNA. Nothing is locked in yet, but the idea makes sense: the off-road performance segment is hot, and Ford has been feasting there for years. If NISMO wants in, it better bring more than stickers, shocks, and a red badge.

Greg A. Is Not Alone…

Many of the top 72 Fast trucks are making north of 1,200 hp at the wheels—as has been confirmed by a busy set of rollers at Firepunk Diesel. In the buildup to the big race on June 5th, the company’s chassis dyno has measured horsepower for at least 10 competitors. In fact, so many have stopped by that Firepunk even has a dyno leader board reserved solely for 72 Fast racers. At the top of the list you’ll find Richard Nicolette, better known as “Jerzy,” whose Enforcer-powered third-gen Cummins just cleared 1,265 hp (along with 1,962 lb-ft). Six trucks have made more than 1,200 hp here, and many are out testing. Will someone on this list take home the guaranteed $70K payout?

4-Second Full-Size For Sale

Ring Racing’s Cummins-powered, wheel-carrying No-Time Ram is up for sale. It’s a rear-wheel drive monstrosity that is rumored to have covered the 1/8-mile in deep 4-second intervals—and it could be yours, in turnkey form (with loads of spare parts), for $200,000. Frosty 2.0, as it’s known, packs a fresh engine consisting of a Fleece block, a D&J head and cam, with Fleece’s high-rpm valvetrain arrangement. A pair of stroker CP3’s supply fuel to an Exergy rail, which feeds a set of S&S Ordnance injectors. Motec stand-alone control, a Peterson dry sump oil system, a one-off 1XPrecision header, Harts 102mm turbo, and seven (7!) stages of nitrous sum up the seriousness of the build. If you want to go fast—and even set a few diesel records—this is your next purchase.

NHRDA Truckin’ In Tulsa

Despite the rain, nothing could slow down the action at Tulsa Raceway Park this weekend. The second stop on the 2026 NHRDA circuit brought NHRDA and ODSS regulars alike to Oklahoma. In Super Diesel (7.70 Index), Keith Languell took the overall win, ousting the formidable Lane Wright and his LB7 Duramax in the final. In the Sportsman category, Ryan Harmon took home the W in his 6.4L Ford (shown). After securing the number 1 qualifier, reigning ODSS 6.70 Index class champion, Jeremy Stickney, stormed his way to victory lane. Further entertainment came in the form of burnout alley, a big-rig light show, a show ‘n shine, and the Blessed Performance chassis dyno.
