New Ford 6R140 Solenoid Body, SPE-Calibrated

The 6R140 is not the old-school “throw a shift kit in it” kind of transmission.Shift feel is mostly handled through solenoids and tuning now, which is why the solenoid body matters so much. For our  6R140 upgraded solenoid body, we start with a brand-new Ford solenoid body, adjust the internal fluid paths and volume, face the surfaces, use billet plugs, and bench-calibrate each solenoid’s flow. It’s a cleaner way to address the part that actually controls the fluid.

In the end users experience an overall better performing 6R140 without the factory 6R140's downfalls.

•  SPE 6r140 Solenoid body starts from a brand new Ford Solenoid body, no cores are used to start with
•  We start with adjusting fluid path and volume inside the internal fluid circuits
•  All surfaces are faced for best fitment
•  Billet plugs are used
•  Each individual solenoid’s flow volume is measured and calibrated on a bench.
•  We install our patented thermoreg control valve that drops the transmission operating temperature by 50 deg F (11-16s only). This helps with transmission fluid breakdown.
•  Each SPE solenoid body comes with a programming card/tag just like it would from Ford thus they program the same way and it can be done at a dealer or with any capable scan tool.
