When the oil in the truck heats up condensation occurs. The OEM crankcase vent system (CCV) allows the gas to escape; however, due to stricter emission standards, the gases are now recirculated into a closed system introducing them back into the intake system. The reintroduction of oil vapor can cause valve gumming, intake sludge, and a reduction of engine power and performance. The SPE CCV Reroute Kit vents crankcase pressure by uses a venturi style design that eliminates the need for a restrictive baffle. Instead, it is intended to catch oil prior to the hose resulting in virtually no oil loss. The base of the nipple is designed to catch oil prior to the hose so there are no restrictions in the system. Our ¾ inch 100% silicone reinforced hose has a streamline fitment, routing over the brake booster, allowing better pressure flow. We also have no tight angles which are seen on many of our competitors’ kits.
Product is great but what’s better is customer service when I spoke with them over the phone, I talked to 3 different people & everyone took care of my questions.
I just received it today it looks to be a very good kit if not the BEST kit on the market it’s unlike all the rest on the market from the looks so I’m already pleased with just the parts I can’t wait until I get time to install
Very Nice kit!! Mine came with the Rubber cap missing but it was promply sent after i notified them!
Great kit well laid out and thought through
I am by no means a mechanic but this was fairly straight forward with limited tools etc. Vents the crank case with no visible oil mist or smell at first fire up. Live it so far. Frees up so much room!
Haven’t put it on yet. But everything looks good. Trying to figure out what you do with the sensor couple that is on the pipe that you put the black cap on.
Sorry I didn’t respond back when I was going to install the ccv reroute, I discovered my oil pan was leaking. So it’s in the shop now so I will be installing it soon. I looked at the instructions and it seems that it will be pretty easy to install!
So I couldn’t make my mind up as far as which CCV kit I wanted to buy. I narrowed it down to No Limit or SPE. I ended up going with SPE and I am very glad I did. It was very easy to install and it works perfectly! The SPE kit does not have any 90* fittings or anything that I feel would add restrictions. The less restrictive, the easier it is for the gasses to escape. I feel that SPE has the best kit on the market and I would absolutely love to see more “bolt on” upgrades added to the selection!
All went well! It is working fine! Just one less piece of useless junk gone!
Was a pain in A$$ but got the box off. Just real congested with all the other stuff in way. But it does kick out a bit odor. But smells like a diesel. And I notice a difference for sure. Plus notice my oil temp is cooler as well. Good product.
The fit and finish of the kit was excellent. I have no oil coming from the vent tube which is good. The downside is the crankcase fumes vent under the cab and has a burnt oil smell. At stop lights other cars see hazy smoke coming from under cab which is not appealing. The only thin I could think is extend the vent tube to the rear near exhaust but I don’t know if that would cause too much pressure in crankcase?
Great quality product, everything you need is included and very easy to install, I’m familiar with the 6.7 but for people that aren’t directions would be nice.
Everything fit great as it should and the kit looks really clean
