News about the new Cummins Ram will be using seems to be everywhere lately. We shared some of the rumors just a couple weeks back. Rumors like the displacement being over 7-liters seem to be the largest shared. Well, we just found a new pack of rumors. "The Truck Show Podcast" recently interviewed a supposed insider at Cummins, nicknamed "Mr.X". Mr.X came out saying the engine will stay at 6.7L (which could make sense given they just did a major redesign of it not too many years ago, albeit a problematic one); it will come with a 10-blade Holset turbo; it'll make 430 hp and 1075 ft-lbs of torque (bummer, it'll still be below the competition); and last but not least, the new motor will ditch the problematic intake grid heater in favor of, that's right, glow plugs. Remember these are all rumors until Stellantis releases the real plan. While the rest of their 2025 lineup has been released, the Ram HD has not yet been released due to further testing needs, as stated by Stellantis.

As it seems, Toyota has decided to end it's participation in the NHRA after 23 years. Now there's several articles circulating about this, most from very respected sources. As far as we can see Toyota has yet to offer an official statement that says specifically that they're out. However, many of those that would be impacted the most, the drivers, have made social posts thanking the manufacturer for all the years of support with a couple stating they'll continue to run a Toyota body in 2025.
Stellantis recently issued a recall related to transmission issues. While to the technologically savviest amongst us, this new one could be seen as related, according to Stellantis, it has nothing to do with it. And we can't see any real reason to disagree. Roughly 300,000 2017-2018 Ram 2500-5500 models have just been recalled due to a braking issue stemming from the traction control system. The issue, as per Stellantis, only affects braking when ABS, traction control, or stability control are involved and does not affect normal braking. Needless to say, it's been a rough month for the manufacturer.
Bring A Trailer is a site that any car guru should be watching. A few weeks back, we shared an SVT Lightning with almost zero miles for sale, and well, this week, it's another icon with low miles up for grabs. A 2002 F150 Harley Davidson Edition (yes, the supercharged super crew version) with only 2000 miles. And go figure, it's pristine! As this article was published, there were five days left in the auction, and the current bid was $40k with no reserve.

If you follow sled pulling in even the slightest way, you've likely seen "Jumpin Jack Flash" a Pro Stock puller. It's the only Pro Stock Ford in the category and sports a 6.7L Powerstroke. However, years ago they ran a 7.3L with a P-Pump. Nothing too new in the pulling world. 7.3's with a P-Pump aren't super uncommon. But, that engine is now up for sale, and one of the statistics blew our minds. GreenHandleMedia.com says this 7.3 runs with 185-psi of boost under full load. We've heard of the big tractor classes running 300-psi and up before, but a 7.3 at 185-psi?? Granted, there's not too much left in the engine that was originally put there by International, including the new CGI block. But still, that's an impressive number.

Syria is all over the news right now with the recent insurrection. We're not going to, nor do we want to go into that at all. Why we're interested now? The nation's dictator, Bashar al-Assad, looks to have had a healthy car collection. Including one of the rarest Fords ever built from back in the 90's. Pictures have been released that show a Revcon Trailblazer RV parked somewhat hidden behind a bunch of other trucks. What's a Revcon? It's a six-wheeled Class B RV built in the early 90's, and there were only 67 ever completed. The vehicle is many vintage Ford collector's holy grail. The sad thing is, will this vehicle survive what's currently happening in Syria? Man we hope someone who knows exactly how incredible that Revcon is gets their hands on it before it gets turned into an FOB or technical for the new regime. But if it does, I guess we'll see it in a future SPE Motorsport blog
